Duckling Adventures


Rhett took this video when he was over yesterday.  Thank you to the Stratthof's for the use of their dog pen!  The ducks love being in it (so does Kaia)!!!






Math:


In your visual journals draw a balance using a triangle and a straight line (see the picture below if you want to cut the triangle and line out of construction paper).  You are going to draw yourself on the high side of the scale.  On the low side, draw something (or a group of things) that are heavier than YOU!!!!

Copy the sentence provided and fill in the object name using your own inventive spelling!

I couldn't find my copy of The Ugly Duckling so here are some videos of the story.  Watch the first one first .. it doesn't have any words so see if YOU can figure out what's happening in the story.  The second story does have words so you can see if you got the story correct!

Good Morning! Duck Update: People often ask me why I don't keep the ducks any longer than about 2 weeks.  Here is why ...  Our ducks are now 1 month old and enjoying their new home at the Country Club Pet Resort.  Science! Good Morning! Let's learn about ants ...
