Good Morning!


Here is another fabulous marble run from our friend Rhett.  Before you watch the 2nd video, pick which ball (orange, pink or yellow) will win the race!  



Literacy:

Watch the following video about farm animals.  Tell an adult or older brother or sister 3 things that you learned about farm animals.  

Extension:  In your writing journal, draw a picture of your favorite farm animal.   Write a sentence about one thing that you learned about your favorite animal.  You can start your sentence with "I learned ...".


Math:  

Here is the riddle for our next 3D shape!  

I have 2 circular faces.
I have 1 curved face.
I have no vertices.
I have 2 curved edges.
I am the shape of cans and toilet paper rolls.

What am I?

What a crazy, cold week it has been!  It has been/is very chilly in our classroom and school.  As well as ensuring that your child is dressed for being outside, please send him/her in a hoodie or sweater for the time inside the school.  Thank you!!!! Our class has been quite small this week as we have been missing between 5 and 10 students each day!  I don't blame you ... if I wasn't a teacher, I would be at home with my children as well!  Although the school is open, it is your decision whether you feel comfortable sending your child in such extreme cold.  Please let the office know (or send me a quick email) letting us know if your child will be absent.  A reminder that, on blue days, students come into the school as soon as they arrive.  Upon dismissal, please feel free to come to our back door and come in while we are getting ready.  A few extra hands at dismissal on days like these would be welcome! Good morning friends! Sorry about the mix-up with the story yesterday.  I would like to say that it won't happen again, but it might!  Maybe I was just testing you to see who is checking out the blog! Calendar and letter Ee printing.  Can you practice printing both capital and lower case Ee's.  Because E is a vowel, it is tricky teaching it's sounds online.  I will go over the sounds in my video however instead of drawing and printing words that start with "E" encourage your child to find words around the house that have the "E" in them. Estimation Results: Guided Drawing Easter Bunny:  You will need a piece of paper (the bigger the better) and something to draw with.

Morning Message: Don't forget to send me your Happy Birthday pictures for Bing AND your birthday video messages for Alejo by tomorrow (Saturday).    Actually, pictures for Bing can be sent up to Tuesday.   Join me in dancing to "The Birthday Song" by Koo Koo Kangaroo.
